3d Printing
The world of 3d printing is strong and getting stronger! Students will design, draw and print a 3d printed bookmark. This project teaches students 3d drawing programs, how 3d printers work, connections in industry and reinforces the design process.

3d printers are basically like high tech glue guns. Their is a nozzle that heats up and melts a plastic filament. The nozzle moves in the X and Y axis while the table drops after every layer making up the Z axis.

In order to make a 3d print, you must have a drawing program, software that converts the 3d drawing (basically translates the drawing into a language the printer can understand), and a 3d printer.
