Technology Education with Mr. Seelig

Hydroponics is a process in which plants are grown without using soil but rather a nutrient rich solution. Many believe hydroponics will be the way of the future as there are many benefits to this type of farming such as; using less space, water, energy, fossil fuels and having the ability to grow vertically as well as in urban settings.

Students will learn about 6 main hydroponic systems and even get to make their own apparatus.  Students learn vocab, components, elements of traditional farming and some basic science of plant growth.  Daily observations will be made of the plants' progress.
